Tokyo Performance Doll (a.k.a. TPD) is a J-Pop idol group that originally existed between 1990 and 1996, and was revived in 2013.
Tokyo Performance Doll was one of the originators for the massive pop idol sensation that has swept Japan and created an international trend. TPD’s former main members include Ryoko Shinohara, who is now a popular actress in Japan, Yuri Ichii from EAST ENT X YURI, and Yuko Anai. After 17 years, Tokyo Performance Doll reunited in June 2013 with new members that were picked from over 8,800 candidates. Their new mission is to become a peerless and unique performance group.
Their debut single, “BRAND NEW STORY” was used as the theme song for TV animation “Kindaichi Case Files R” in 2014, and since then, their consecutive music release and appearances on live battles have attracted many fans at each stage. The latest single, “逆光×礼賛（Backlight × Praise)” ranked #2 on the domestic chart in March 2016, making their sales record.

当時のガールズグループの中ではもちろんのこと、音楽業界全体の中でも強烈な個性を放ち、独自の音楽性と圧倒的なパフォーマンスで常に新たな試みへの挑戦を続け、後に女優の篠原涼子や、EAST END×YURIの市井由理や、穴井夕子などを輩出した伝説のグループ。
あれから約17年の時を経て、2013年6月、全国8,800人の中から選びぬかれた新メンバーで復活。初代TPDのDNAを継承し、唯一無二のパフォーマンスグループとなることを目標に掲げ、
2013年8月15日より演劇と映像、歌とダンスが融合した新感覚エンターテインメント「PLAY×LIVE『1×0』」（プレイライブ『ワンバイゼロ』）公演を、約1年にわたり渋谷の劇場「CBGKシブゲキ!!」にて挑戦。
そして、2014年6月11日に、シングル「BRAND NEW STORY」で待望のCDデビューし、オリコン週間ランキング8位と、堂々のTOP10入りを果たす！同年8月に開催された初の東名阪ツアーで、圧巻のノンストップパフォーマンスを披露し話題を呼ぶ。さらに11月1日のZepp Nambaを皮切りに、日本人ガールズグループとしてはデビューより4カ月半での史上最速で東名阪福の4都市Zeppツアーを行い、進化するダンスサミットを展開！勢いのままに、11月26日に発売した2ndシングル「DREAM TRIGGER」は、デイリー2位、週間でも4位と快進撃を見せた。
結成当初よりずっと歌い続けてきた、メンバーにとってもファンにとっても大切な曲「DREAMIN’」を、2015年第一弾シングルとして6月10日にリリース！デイリー2位、週間では3位と、過去最高の順位を獲得!!現在、平均年齢17歳・9名からなる新生TPDが、渋谷から全国へ、そして世界へと新たなガールズグループ旋風を巻き起こす！

★ About TP Domo and Domobics
“TPDomo” is a new unit consisting of everyone’s favorite NHK mascot Domo and idol group Tokyo Performance Doll. They introduce “Domobics” (Domo + aerobics), a 5-minute long exercise using simple moves from aerobics, composed by m-flo’s☆Taku Takahashi and supervised by Olympics silver medalist in wrestling, Katsuhiko Nagata.
