J-POP SUMMIT, hosted by SUPERFROG Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a Japanese cultural festival held every summer since 2009 in San Francisco. By introducing the latest in Japanese music, fashion, film, art, games, tech-innovations, anime, food, as well as niche subcultures, the festival has become a landing platform for new trends from Japan. The festival is also getting attention as an effective opportunity for promotion and entry point into US markets. J-POP SUMMIT in 2016 will be held at three locations; the Regency Ballroom for the opening event on Friday, July 22nd, Fort Mason Center as the main venue for two days on July 23rd (Sat) and 24th (Sun), and NEW PEOPLE Cinema for the film festival that runs for nine days from July 23rd to 31st.

2009年夏に米国サンフランシスコにて始まった、日本ポップカルチャーの祭典。音楽・IT/テクノロジー・ファッション・映画・トラベル・フード＆酒・アニメ・アートなど、日本の最新トレンドとコンテンツを全米・世界へ紹介。2015年以前は、日本町とユニオンスクエアなど屋外型イベントを決行、最高２日間で約12万人を動員。2015年以降、会場を屋内に移し更にパワーアップ。今までの人気イベントに加え、IT・テックコンテンツに焦点を当てた「INTERACTIVE Pavilion —インターラクティブパビリオン」や旅行・観光に特化したエリア「POP TRAVEL Pavilion –ポップトラベルパビリオン」などを新たに設け大盛況となる。８回目となる2016年度は、メインイベントを7月２３日（土）と２４日（日）の二日間に渡りフォートメイソンセンターにて開催。前日の２２日（金）にはリージェンシーボールルーム(The Regency Ballroom）にてきゃりーぱみゅぱみゅによるオープニングイベント、更にニューピープルシネマでは第４回サンフランシスコ日本映画祭を７月２３日（土）から３１日（日）の９日間開催予定。

◉ Japan Film Festival of San Francisco ◉

​Hosted by SUPERFROG Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Japan Film Festival of San Francisco is the first and only fully-dedicated annual Japanese film event of the San Francisco Bay Area. This nine-day festival will take place at NEW PEOPLE Cinema starting Saturday, July 23rd and ending on Sunday, July 31st, 2016. Last year the film festival awarded Japan’s leading actor Tadanobu Asano the very first Honorary Award for his international contribution to cinema. The film festival will also be a prominent feature of the 2016 J-POP SUMMIT, taking place in Fort Mason Center Saturday July 23rd and Sunday the 24th.

北カルフォルニア初の日本映画祭。100年の歴史を誇るサンフランシスコ日本街に2009年にオープンしたNEW PEOPLE ビル内映画館NEW PEOPLE シネマにて、日本の最新実写及びアニメーション映画のプレミア上映、監督・俳優・声優による舞台挨拶やサイン会、VIPパーティーなどを実施。2015年は、初の試みとして、同会場に加え地元民がこよなく愛する名劇場「Castro Theatre(カストロシアター)」にてオープニングレセプションを開催。レッドカーペットイベントや日本からのゲストによる舞台挨拶、映画プレミア上映、VIPパーティー等が催された。４回目となる2016年は、7月23日（土）から30日（日）までの9日間、NEW PEOPLE Cinemaにて開催。著名映画監督、アメリカプレミア上映などを予定。映画詳細とチケット情報は http://jffsf.org にて。
