The special opening night event presented by J-POP SUMMIT 2015 and Japan Film Festival of San Francisco will take place at the celebrated Castro Theatre of San Francisco. The event invites actor Tadanobu Asano to the stage for a Q & A session that follows the screening of cult film ELECTRIC DRAGON 80000V (<\/em>directed by Sogo Ishii). The night concludes with a sound and visual collaboration presentation by DJ Ken Ishii and director Koji Morimoto.<\/p>\n

The event begins at 8:00pm kicking off both annual festivals and will feature a Sogo Ishii\u2019s film, Electric Dragon 80000V<\/em>, a rollicking comic-book style action film that stars acclaimed Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano (Ichi the Killer<\/em>, Zatoichi<\/em>, Thor<\/em>, 46 Ronin<\/em>, Battleship<\/em>). Tadanobu Asano himself will participate in an audience Q&A, followed by a live DJ set and visual collaboration by one of the Japan’s legendary techno DJ, Ken Ishii and Japan’s top anime director, Koji Morimoto (Animatrix<\/em>, Genius Party Beyond<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Tadanobu Asano, Ken Ishii, and Koji Morimoto will attend more special events at 2015 J-POP SUMMIT as official Guests of Honor over the festival weekend at Fort Mason Center. Appearance times and event details will be announced shortly!<\/p>\n
