★ ABOUT KYLEE:
Born to an American father and Japanese mother, Kylee was raised on both ends of the Pacific Ocean and speaks fluently in English and Japanese. The DefSTAR Records/Sony Music Japan recording artist has been performing for large audiences in Japan and America since 2005 when the then 11-year-old sang the national anthem for several professional American sports teams. In 2012, she also performed the U.S. national anthem in front of President Obama when the President toured Kylee’s home state of Arizona. Her dual-life as normal American teenage student and Japanese pop star was discussed on NBC’s Today Show where she also made her American television performing debut.
Now 20 years old, Kylee has accomplished quite a bit in her young career. Her break-out single “Crazy For You” sold more than half a million downloads and she has had many of her original songs featured in popular anime films and television commercials. Kylee’s single “Kimi ga Irukara” was featured prominently in the film “Dareka ga Watashi ni Kiss wo shita (Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac),” which Kylee also makes an appearance in. Looking to the future, Kylee is focusing on furthering her education while continuing to write and record new music.
Despite her busy schedule, Kylee has kept her fans across the world up to date on her life via social media where she posts videos on YouTube and replies to fans on Twitter. Within a year’s time, she has already made a name for herself in the YouTube community, collaborating with YouTube music stars Kurt Schneider, Sam Tsui and Chester See. In total, music videos she has appeared in on her YouTube channel and others have been viewed more than 20,000,000 times.
