Chimney Cake (kürtős kalács) is originally from Hungary and served as wedding cake. It has a unique beautiful cylindrical shape and a special texture. Traditionally it was baked open fire over charcoal on a cylindrical wooden roll and topped with cinnamon, almonds, walnuts or just sugar. The surface is sweet and crispy but the inside is soft and chewy. It is a special pastry that you can’t get enough of and want more!
