The biggest treasure hunt in SF Japantown is happening at the J-POP SUMMIT Festival!
This treasure hunt will be presented by SCRAP, the producer of popular puzzle hunt game series Real Escape Game. More than 10,000 people in the Bay Area have participated since Real Escape Game made its U.S. debut at NEW PEOPLE in San Francisco in the beginning of 2012.
“1000 Treasure Hunters” will offer an outdoor treasure hunt, which is different from the traditional Real Escape Game format that is usually conducted inside a locked room. Legions of players of all ages are invited to take part in what could become Bay Area’s biggest simultaneous treasure hunt. There is no time limit and the clues will be ingeniously hidden, so players can participate alone or with friends while enjoying other activities of the J-POP SUMMIT Festival.
On 7/28 (Sun), the second day of the J-POP SUMMIT Festival, there will be a finale at the main stage where all of the treasure hunt mysteries will be revealed. This finale will also be streamed live on U-stream so all players can join. All of the mysteries will be revealed in public to festival attendees. At the finale, the grand prize winners will be chosen by a drawing among all of the players who successfully solved the puzzle.
